NOW Real Food Tamari Almonds have a savory Asian tamari flavor and are naturally gluten free. We use the best quality almonds and a premium-grade tamari to create a delectably delightful snack that's perfect alone or as a zesty addition to salads and other dishes.
Tamari is a type of soy sauce from the Chubu region of Japan that's darker and richer in flavor than traditional soy sauce. Unlike most varieties of soy sauce tamari isn't fermented with wheat, so it contains no gluten and is ideal for individuals who are sensitive to gluten.
Scientific evidence suggests but does not prove that eating 1.5 ounces per day of most nuts, such as almonds, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.
